Transforming mechanical drawings into friendly user interfaces
Introduction
Siemens is a global company that specializes in digitalization, electrification, and automation. In my role as a Graphic Designer, I created user interfaces and 3D models based on engineering drawings.

Design process
MY Background
In 2019, I designed a functional prototype of an app that allowed the user to manage sensors installed in their house related to the control of gas, electricity, water, and electrical appliances. I collaborated with a mechatronic engineer, a software engineer, and a financial advisor. This experience helped me quickly adapt to Siemens’ software
REQUIREMENTS
One of my responsibilities was to create an estimated budget for the hours, necessary stages, and final cost. This budget was formulated based on mechanical drawings, work schedules, style guides, and customer graphics.
USER INTERFACES
Based on the floor plans and mechanical drawings, I generated the necessary screens for the clients. A standard interface included a top menu, a home screen, a quick view, a floor plan, and specific building systems such as chiller plants, condensing units, air handlers, heating water systems, or heat pumps.
