Unifying the visual message of a Latin venture capital firm
Introduction
LatinxVC is a group of experienced venture investors dedicated to growing and supporting the Latinx Venture capital ecosystem. I collaborated with them to create a brand, a website, and social media templates that represented community, passion, and determination.
Note: In October 2023, LatinxVC changed its name to SomosVC.

Understanding LatinxVC
1.
Founded in 2019, LatinxVC aims to increase the representation of Latin professionals in venture capital, increase access to capital for Latinx fund managers, and build a strong Latinx venture ecosystem driven by a positive narrative.
2.
They have three potential client categories. First, Latinx VCs, individuals between 25 and 45 years old, interested in finance and tech. Second, LPS between 35 and 55 years old with extensive investment experience. Finally, the general Latin community wanting to get into venture.
3.
They were looking for a minimal, bold, and professional brand style. A way to communicate their professionalism, diversity, and readiness.

REQUIREMENTS
After industry analysis, research, and brainstorming, I curated two brand proposals for the client which included a moodboard, creative direction, visual concept, logo, typography selection, and color palette. After the client chose an option, I further developed the brand including graphic elements, textures, and collage illustrations.

MEDIA APPLICATIONS
After the brand guidelines were set up, I prototyped the website using Figma and developed it on Webflow. In the end, I created templates for social media, event flyers, and brand collateral. Note: With the name change, Somos VC also changed the colors of the brand, but they kept the website design structure I created and the collage illustrations.
